He is survived by: his mother Shirley Whitaker of Jasper; his sisters, Sherry Headrick of Jasper, Liz Patrick of Jasper and Jackie; his brother-in-law Richard Gaddis of Jasper; his brother David Whitaker of Jasper; his siblings' children, Lori Headrick, Ashley Davis, Marty Gaddis, Stacey Thacker, Joshua Whitaker, Sam Whitaker, Emily Whitaker, John Phares and Adam Phares; his friend Joe Wigington; and his close friend Janice Gardner. He is also survived by nine great-nephews and great-nieces.
