He is survived by: his wife Carol Mathews of Jasper; his son Johnny; his daughter-in-law Bronzell Mathews of Jasper; and his daughter Bonnie Burke of Dalton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
