He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Gail Nichols. He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Carter; his son-in-law Jimmy Buchanan of Jasper; his daughter Becca Nichols of Albuquerque; his siblings, Eddie Lee Nichols of Waleska, Richard Nichols of Jasper and Cathy Rampley of Waleska; his grandchildren, Kristen, Brett Mullins, Miranda Carter, Matt Wright and Austin Carter; and his great grandchildren, Hagen Mullins, Hallie Mullins and Zayne Carter. He is also survived by several stepchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
