He is survived by: his wife Joyce Stamey of Jasper; his children, Cathy (Bacle Fowler), Patricia Pruitt of Jasper and Paul; his daughter-in-law Cathy Gibson of Ohio; and his siblings, Hollis Stamey of Jasper, Howard Stamey of Nelson, Louise Sims of Jasper, Ruth Ware Cooper of Jasper and Lona Buchanan of Jasper. He is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
