He is survived by: his wife Jackie Lamy of Jasper; his son Richard Kile; his daughter-in-law Tani Lamy of Texas; his stepdaughter Meredith Smith of Jasper; his brothers, Brian Lamy of Georgia and Kenneth Lamy of Florida; and his grandchildren, Kiley and Reagan Lamy.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation in Richard Dennis Lamy, Jr's name.
