He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Poag and Loyce Poag; his wife Beverly Poag of Jasper; his son Richard (Shannon Poag); his stepchildren, Marilynn, Marty Martinez, Robert (Cathy Poag Jr.), Patty McGee, Bert and Leslie McGee Jr.; his grandchildren, Brian Poag, Brittany Riddle, Brittney Willbanks, Cohen Poag, Amanda Poag, Christopher Poag and Chelsea White; his stepgrandchildren, Sydney Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Christopher Martinez, Brittnee McGee, Dillion McGee and Laine McGee; his son Ronnie Poag Sr.; and his grandsons, Ronnie Poag Jr. and David Poag. He was also cherished by 20 great-grandchildren.
