We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2019, at the age of 86, Ruth Burgess Roland (Jasper, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter Burgess and Mamie Burgess; her husband James Roland; her daughter Linda Roland Patterson; and her siblings, Lucille Burgess, Gladys Harris, Glen Burgess and Paul Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne (Michael Hicks), Susan (Phillip Taylor), Bill and Connie Roland; her grandchildren, Jess Hicks, Jacob Hicks (Victoria Maynez), Sarah Hicks, Lindsey (Hammond), Colby (Brooke Taylor), Devlin Roland (Bethany Goley), Caitlin Roland, Shanda (Jeff Freeman) and Dana (Cody Ryal); her great grandchild Lottie Hammond; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Roland of Jasper, Patricia Roland of Jasper and Sandy Roland of Jasper. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
