He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Marie Swaim Smith; his wife Faye Armstrong Smith; and his sister Peggy Dale McClellen. He is survived by: his sisters, Betty Holmes and Brenda Parson; and his siblings' children, Samantha Gonzales, Ina Smith and Michael Parson. He is also survived by 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew.
