She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Girden and Etheleen Strawn Cook; her husband Emerson Burford; and her siblings, Jack Cook and Clarice Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Lanier (Marcia Burford), David (Gail Burford), Walton (Patty Burford), Aubrey (Crissie Burford), Jackie (Richard Brooks) and Lindy (Wayne Waites); her sister Virginia Williams; and her siblings-in-law, Jerrold and Faye Burford. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
