We bid farewell to Carlton Cleveland Carter of Jesup, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 29, 2025 at the age of 88. Carlton touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Manning Carter; his daughter Cindy Rivera; his siblings, Burt, Jack Taylor, Ruby McDuff and Carolyn Herndon; his children, Carlton "Buddy" Carter, Jr. (Carla) of Jesup, Carol Wise (John) of Jesup, Cheryl Ashley (Jack) of Jesup, Carla Manning of Jesup and Chris Campbell of Jesup; and his sister-in-law Betty Taylor of Florida. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Manningtown Cemetery (9971 Manningtown Rd, Jesup, GA 31546).
