She was predeceased by : her parents, John and Iris; and her siblings, Geraldine Ficklin, Betty Jean Ficklin, Mattie Clara Ficklin Wingfield, Annette Ficklin Ruff, Annie Ruth Ficklin Dawson, Iris Ficklin Bray and John Hudson Ficklin, III.

She is survived by : her husband James Wilson; her children, Tanisha Kersey (Anthony), Jamel Wilson (Catressa) and Vanessa Jones (Robert); her grandchildren, Jameyah, Catreice, Robert Jr., Naya and Jayla; her godchildren, Rhonda, Lyndon Jr., Bettina and Skyy; her siblings, Reverend Emma F. Sinkfield, Catherine F. Hudson, Marlene F. Hudson, Gloria Heath (Pastor Lyndon) and Douglas "Butch" Ficklin (Julie) of Warren County, GA; her siblings-in-law, J. C. Wilson (Carolyn) and Mattie Mattox (Quillie); and her aunts, Sarah Smith of Brunswick, GA and Katherine Bradley of Killeen, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dawson''s Mortuary Chapel (98 Hopgood St, Warrenton, GA 30828). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mill Rock Baptist Church (8044 Mayfield Rd, Warrenton, GA 30828). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at the same location.
