She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver Travis Owens Sr.; and her children, Virginia Knowles, James Owens and Charles "Chuck" Owens. She is survived by: her children, Oliver Travis Owens Jr., Roy Lawrence Owens (Sharon) and Dorothy Jean Bruce (Wayne); and her grandchildren, Tony Knowles, Jeff Knowles, Ken Knowles, Ginger Walker, Leslie Owens, Steve Owens, Waylan Bruce, Wanda Owens, Rodney Owens, Kevin Owens, Heather Owens, Matthew Owens and Donah Owens. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; one great- great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
