Wyneve M. Newsome Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wyneve M. Newsome (Kite, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Wyneve is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Wyneve's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milledge Swain Meeks and Maggie Lindsey Meeks; her husband Welton Elmore Newsome; and her siblings, Ila Mae Meeks Smith, Lizzie Lee Meeks Hale, Remus Meeks and Wilmer Meeks.
She is survived by: her son Lindsey Keith Newsome (Lorie); and her grandchildren, Austin Kane Newsome (Lindsey), Evan Scott Newsome (Lauren) and Ansley Eve Newsome (Alex). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Powell's Chapel Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
