It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Mae Sims (LaGrange, Georgia), who passed away on October 8, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Winchester and LuGennie Winchester; and his siblings, John Thornton, Aaron Thornton, Martha Lewis, Gennie Spearman and Bessie Foster.
He is survived by: his sons, Jake V. Sims, Donell Sims of LaGrange, GA and Gerald Bankston (Kathy) of Hogansville, GA; and his grandchildren, Apryl Copeland of Columbus, GA, Matalito Bass (Porshe) of LaGrange, GA, Vinson Sims (Shawanda) of Newnan, GA, Larry Sims (Adrean) of Decatur, AL, Tasia Motin (Michael) of LaGrange, GA and Tania Bankston of LaGrange, GA. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
