He was predeceased by: his siblings, Katie L. Smith, James Andrew Burks, Sr. and Pastor Jerry J. Burks. He is survived by: his children, Donnie Burks, Jr. (Tasha) and Kimberly Burks McGee (Marco); his stepchildren, Tomekia Anderson (Darral), Roxie Burks and Quincey Burks; his siblings, Apostle Mary Edwards of Hogansville, GA, Anita Delaney (Curry), Jack Burks (Dorothy) of LaGrange, GA, Ronnie Burks (Gail) of LaGrange, GA and Douglas Burks (Debbie) of Newnan, GA; his sisters-in-law, Gloria Burks of LaGrange, GA and Janice Todd of West Point, GA; and his close friends, Ciera Wilkerson, Raymond Porch and Kim Toolsie. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
