It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward McCarty (LaGrange, Georgia), born in Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on July 7, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Nezra Reese McCarty. He is survived by: his parent Laura O'Deal McCarty; his wife Shirley McCarty of LaGrange; his daughter Teresa Steel of LaGrange; his daughters-in-law, Michael McCarty, Delores McCarty of Newnan, Patrick McCarty and Susan McCarty of Grantville; and his sisters, Dianne and Patricia. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
