He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Bernie Lou Reeves Martin; his wife Patsy F. Martin; his children, Christy Strickland (Forrest) and Bert Martin (Amber); his grandchildren, Billy Martin, Damin Echols, Bailie Martin and Hunter Martin; his great grandchild Kian Echols; his siblings, Steve Martin (Teresa), Hugh Martin (Vicki), Sherry Kramer (Kelly) and Tammy Martin; and his stepgrandchildren, Dawson, Hunter and Haislynn. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
