He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ashley Griffin Copeland; his parents, Dr. Robert and Jenny Copeland; his brother Robert Theodore Copeland; his nieces, Jenny Maclain Copeland Davies, Savannah Joyce Copeland, Carter Drew Hewett, Griffin Elizabeth Hewett and Davis Varnum of Virginia; his mother-in-law Jo Ann Davis Griffin; and his sister-in-law Virginia Griffin Varnum (Ginny).
