She was predeceased by: her sister Dwindle Ann Gates; and her grandmother Francis Lay. She is survived by: her husband Cecil; her aunt Carrie Harris; her nephew Kevis D. Gates; her siblings-in-law, Mattie Pruitt, Carolyn Scott, Ruby Brant, Johnny Bryant and Luther Parks; and also, Erica Foster and Vanessa Camron. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
