She is survived by: her children, Georgia R. Gates, Henry F. Gates, Dairan Person and Christine Gates Gholston; and her children-in-law, Ken Gholston and Cynthia McDowell Gates. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five loving nieces and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
