She was predeceased by: her children, Mary Helen Thornton Cherry and Willie Frank Thornton (Dorothy); and her siblings, Joanne Thornton Trammell and Perry Thornton, Sr.. She is survived by: her granddaughter Nina Glover (Wayne); her great grandchildren, Kelvin Glover, Jr. and Dyas Glover; her nieces and nephews, Pamer Allen (Jerome), Dedra Thornton, Ayesha Thornton, Jerdaija Traylor, Berea Thornton, Tailor Worle, Justice Jackson, Jerkiko A. Allen, Jason Thornton, Malik Thornton and Jai J. Allen; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Paige Thornton.
