With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Elroyd Ivey (LaGrange, Georgia), born in Milledgeville, Georgia, who passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Ivey and Maude Twilley Ivey; and his siblings, John Michael, Matthew Harris and Joyce Elaine.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Trish" Ivey; his daughters, DeAnna Ivey Morgan (Darrell) and Jamie Ivey-Kirschbaum (Tim); his stepchildren, Jenny McCrea Dowdy (Darren) and Drew Fortenberry; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Ashley, Bailey, Kaley, Hudson, Kaylen and Julianne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Jimmy's name to either the Concerns of Police Survivors or The Wounded Warrior Project.
