He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Terrell and Minnie Pearl Godwin; and his sons, Joseph Terrell and Horace Terrell. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Johnson Terrell; his children, Henry Terrell, Jr., Susie Mae Terrell Malone, Evelyn Anderson and Mammie Johnson; his close friend Margarett Grier; his sister-in-law Carrie Brown; and his daughter-in-law Vanessa Terry. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren.
