He was predeceased by: his father Johnny William Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Kathy Smith Matthews; his wife Shelia Smith Matthews; his children, Connor William Matthews and Chloe Ann Matthews; and his brother Richard Trice Matthews (Daria). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home (506 Hill St, LaGrange, GA 30240). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
