He is survived by: his children, Amy Messer (Tommy) and Jason Veal (Christy); his sisters, Mary Jewel Smith (Alvin) and Elsie Wilson (Larry); his grandchildren, Kevin Messer (Anna), Robbie Knight, Kyle Messer, Tiffany Messer, Gage Veal, Max Veal and Emma Veal; and his great grandchild Avery Messer. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
