He is survived by: his children, Stanley Shelton (Shelia), James Akery (Teresa), Terry Akery, Michael Thrower Sr. and Arla Akery; his grandchildren, Tia Crooks (Michael), James Akery III (Jessi), Chad Moman and Neal Moman; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Wood (Cammie), Holden Thrower (Jenna), Annie Crooks (Trystan), Hayden Crooks, Nathan Crooks, Colten Crooks, James Akery IV, Cami Akery, Curtis Akery and Easton Akery. He is also survived by 7 great great grandchildren.
