She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thompson and Sue Middlebrooks Thompson; her husband George Lee Vessell; her son George Lee Vessell Jr.; and her pet Butterbean.

She is survived by: her daughter Kim Brauer; her grandsons, Zachary Thomas Brauer and Scott Joseph Brauer; and her pet Jax.

In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation of dog or cat food be made to your local animal shelter for Jax or donations may be made to WellStar West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Rd., LaGrange, GA 30240.
