It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Hunter of LaGrange, Georgia, born in Jellico, Tennessee, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Hunter and Evelyn Hunter; and his sister Sally Hunter Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Sylvia Hunter (Adams); his children, Noel Hunter of Decatur, Georgia, Kristi, Patrick Rice of Anderson, Adam and Amy Hunter of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Anna Bradley Rice, Patrick Hunter Rice, Wesley Adam Hunter and Charles Harrison Hunter.

He also served on The Board of Directors for the West Georgia Health Foundation and the West Georgia Red Cross.
