With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Anne Shaw (Lakeland, Georgia), who passed away on August 6, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Emory Swindle and Margaret Swindle Darsey; her son Len Boy; her stepfather John Darsey; her parents-in-law, Slaton and Doris Shaw; her brothers-in-law, Charles, Jay Shaw and Fred Anderson; and her granddaughter Ramana Ray Thomas.
She is survived by : her husband Loyd Shaw; her children, Allison, Raymond Ray, Adel, Kevin and Gayla Shaw; her grandchildren, Justin, Mary Gray Ray, Sara, Ty Sumner, Smith, Swin, Bella, Campbell Shaw, Travis Thomas, Lamar, Keri Ray, Scott and Melanie Ray; her great grandchildren, Scarlett Anne, Morrison Ray, Noa, Thompson, Truett Sumner, Nichole Harrison, Chris Harris, Savannah Ray (Josh Kenbeck) and Maggie Ray; her great great grandchildren, Zoey, Mason and Raylee; her sister Lynn; her brother-in-law Dice Roberts; her nieces and nephews, Leland, Jill, Ashton, Emory, Evan Roberts, Ashley Roberts, Jeff, Mixson, Stacey, Justin Anderson, Vickie, Marcus, Brittany Hughes, Pam Shaw, Joey, Amber, Daniel, Melinda Fowler, Sheri Shaw, Jason, Katy, Ann Harvey, Slaton Shaw, Sam, Christa, Jenna and Brady Shaw; and also, Jimmy, Lisa, Lauren and Lee Plair.
When approached by the Oak Lawn Foundation committee to relocate the old LCHS auditorium, she and her sister, Lynn, didn't hesitate to provide the land and later added "The Veranda" in honor of their mother.
