He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Turpin and Demorest Taylor Turpin; and his siblings, Cameron Turpin, Hugh Turpin, Jesse Turpin, Jim Turpin, Laura English, Ellie Lovell, Odessa Turpin and Inez Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Winnie Thomas Turpin; his children, David Turpin (Patty) of Demorest, GA, Gene Turpin of Lakemont, GA and Joan Turpin of Tucker, GA; and his granddaughters, Amy Wright and Rebecca Hudson. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made, in his memory, to Amediys Hospice, 53 Rock Rd., Toccoa, GA 30577 and/or Habersham Home East, 691 Old Historic Hwy 441 #2, Demorest, GA 30535.
