With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Gipson of Lakemont, Georgia, born in Clayton, Georgia, who passed away on November 21, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Hiram Willie and Lola Emory Jiles; her husband John Stuart Gipson; and her former life partner Joe Webb. She is survived by : her sister Lois Jiles Clark of Lakemont; and her sons, Bruce Gipson (Betty Jo) of Lakemont, Doug Gipson (Rita) of Lakemont and Wayne Gipson (Rita) of Lakemont. She is also survived by several great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
The family is at their respective residences and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
