With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Yvonne Ann Gollatz of Lavonia, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 3, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Richard Mahood and Joseph Gollatz; her daughter Debbie Butler; and her grandson Brandon Miller. She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Simpson (Leo), Barbara Garrett (Steve) and Linda Wimbs (Allen); her grandchildren, Diane Stevens, Michelle Hill, Jennifer Merenuk, Kiley Wood, Heather Butler, Richard Matthews and Devin Matthews; and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Colton, Hannah, Brooklyn, Graham, Micah, Everleigh, Connor, Charlie, Kaison and Chevelle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Strickland Funeral Home-Lavonia (355 Bear Creek Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations to be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Toccoa, GA.
