He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Davenport and Leila Welborn Davenport; his wife Margaret; his son Jack; and his brothers, Charles W. and James W. Davenport.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Walker (Bob) and Debra Bishop (David); his grandchildren, Jason Walker (Katharine), Justin Walker, Robyn Bates (Michael), Coye Bishop (Ashley) and Kyle Bishop; his great grandchildren, Elle Walker, George Walker, Sawyer Bates, Henry Bates and Olivia Bishop; and his brothers, Joe E. and Louie A. Davenport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Smoke Rise Baptist Church.
