Iphigenia Mavrogianis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iphigenia Mavrogianis of Lawrenceville, Georgia, who passed away on August 2, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Costis Scoumis and Helen Scoumis (Scouloukas); her husband Emmanuel Mavrogianis; her son Dimitrios Mavrogianis; and her siblings, Pete Scoumis, Dimitrios Scoumis, Vasilio Scoumis, Russell Scoumis, Oranis Kallas, Xanthipe "Tippy" Miller and Marsha Scoumis.

She is survived by: her children, Maria Paxinos (George) of Powder Springs, GA and C. Dean Mavrogianis (Melissa) of Moon Township, PA; her grandchildren, Kristen Snell (Christopher), James Paxinos (Heather) and Alexa Mavrogianis; her great grandchildren, Emmy, Amelia Snell, Elias and Lucas Paxinos; and her brother Orestes Scoumis of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggest memorial contributions be made to the All Saint's Greek Orthodox Church in Iphigenia's name.
