He was predeceased by: his parents, Friendly Hodges and Annie Hodges; his wife Victoria Hodges; his son Joseph Hodges, Jr.; his siblings, Doretha Hodges, Elease Bullock, Mary Davis, Martha Ponton, Amanda Gibbons, Lone Hodges, Sr., Herbert Hodges and James Hodges (Wilmie); and his daughters, Victoria Carpenter (Herbert) and Mary Curry-Hodges (Cynthia Isom).
He is survived by: his children, Meldas Hodges (Cassandra), Demetrius Hodges (Tonya), Brenda West, Diana Wilson, Tyrone Hodges (Trina), Gary Hodges (Sonya), Gloria Hodges (Sam) and Rose Marie Randolph; and his sister Kim Allen of Trenton, NJ. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
