It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Johnson of Lawrenceville, Georgia, born in Saint Helena Island, South Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Johnson and Rosa Johnson (McKnight); and his siblings, Robbie Bolles, Annie, Coy, Glara Ricks, Jack Johnson, Jr. and Ezekiel Johnson.
He is survived by : his children, Theryon Sampson (Caraliss), Terry, Darryl Johnson, Gail Graves (Herbert), Sheryl Forte and Dena Moore Johnson (Russell); his grandchildren, Timothy, Nicholas Graves, Dane, Royce, Korey, Russell Johnson, Theryon Sampson, Jr., Kenneth Nichols, Jared Moore, Bryce Forte, Shannon, Brandi Graves and Nia Moore; his great grandchildren, Zion, Zane Brooks, Zuri Awuku and Azurayi Graves; his siblings, Ruth Archer of Shelby, MS, Eddie Johnson of St. Helena Island, SC and Julia Ealy of Lowell, MA; his aunt Sadie Jenkins of St. Helena Island, SC; his cousins, Maebelle Johnson and Orrie "Earnice" Williams; his niece Martha Johnson; his goddaughter Leah DeCosta; and also Betty Carter. He is also survived by friends and beloved fraternity brothers.
