It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Amey (Lawrenceville, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jerry Amey and Bessie Amey; and her niece Amy Williams. She is survived by : her daughter Valeria Amey-Simpson (Willie Simpson); her granddaughters, Amanda Burgess (Fernandaze Burgess) and Ashley Simpson; her sisters, Carolyn Nichols (Charles Nichols), Geraldine Allen and Stephanie Amey; and her niece Nicole Frye (Fredrico Frye).
