He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Dewey Lavender and Lillie Gilreath Lavender Davis; and his siblings, Richard Lavender and Jackie Rookes. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Tillman Lavender of Lenox; his sons, Frank Lavender (Ann) of Piney Flats and Rick Lavender (Janice) of Watkinsville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Matthew Lavender, Jordan Lavender (Elizabeth), Anna Lavender, Joseph Lavender, Rebekah Lavender and Josiah Lavender; his sisters, Jewel Roberts of Atlanta, Joyce Hollis of Milledgeville and June Fullington of Kathleen; and his siblings-in-law, Maureen Cook of Lenox and Nolan Tillman (Barbara) of Tampa, Florida.. He is also survived by his wife of 66 years, quick to tell his sons he loved.
