He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Nelms and Lucille McKettrick Nelms; and his sister Glenda Stewart. He is survived by : his children, William T. Nelms Jr. (Debbie Nelms) and Melisa Gabriel (Greg Gabriel); his grandchildren, Jessica Haley, Michelle Lindsey, Hunter Gabriel, Emmett Gabriel and Michael Tiller; and his sisters, Martha Coile, Tomi Nelms and Lucy Nelms. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
