She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Mitchell and Myrtle Smalley Flint; her former life partner Glen McCurry "Mack" Matthews, Sr.; her husband Larry Carlton Rice; and her siblings, Richie Kimble Flint and Mickie Flint McGee.
She is survived by : her children, Glen McCurry Matthews, Jr., Michelle M. Hammond (Fred), Mitchell Flint Matthews (Carla), Russell Auby Matthews (Valerie) and David Thomas Matthews; her grandchildren, Macy M. Turner (Clay), Peyson Lee Moss, Garrett Thomas Matthews (Hannah), Marie Louise Matthews, Eleese Lynn Matthews, Brett Elizabeth Matthews, Mitchell F. Matthews, Jr., Bryan Jackson Matthews, Mackenzie Grace Matthews, Lucas Connor Matthews, Emma Grace Russell and Alec Wood Russell; and her great grandchildren, Harley Luck Turner, Larsen McLain Turner and Willa Blanche Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
