She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Hammond and Kate Parks Hammond; and her son Tommy Powell. She is survived by : her husband Gene Powell; her sons, Randy Powell of Lincolnton and Jimmy Powell of Lincolnton; her brother Ray Hammond of Statesboro; her grandchildren, Katie P. Lee, Leigh Anne Powell and Brandon Powell; and her great grandchildren, Lila Anne Lee, Vivian Lee, Amira Jaghab and Kylie Jaghab.
