With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Colleen Marie Rand Karanovich of Lithia Springs, Georgia, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2022 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frances "Fran" Zager Rand and Harvey Thad Rand; her husband Alan; and her sons, Evan Karanovich of Atlanta and Christopher Ryan Karanovich. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family and many supporters seek to inspire the next generation of nurses with the "Colleen Rand Karanovich Endowed Scholarship" at Mercer University's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. Your donations will continue to build her legacy for first-generation and returning students to the nursing field.
