He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Edward Ray and Dorothy Raatz Ray; and his siblings, Clayton Ray, Benjie Ray, Dewey Ray and Mary Ann Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Gale Griggs Ray of Lithia Springs, Georgia; his children, Roxanne (Chad Mallory), Amy Elizabeth Ray of Douglasville, Georgia and Timothy Brooks Ray; his daughter-in-law Kareline Ray of Douglasville, Georgia; his brothers, Marvin (Eunice Ray) and Fred (Betsy Ray); his grandchildren, Cara Mallory, Page (Joe Kraatz), Brianna (Cody Lindsey), Denver Ray and Corinna Gravitt (Casey Gravitt); and his great grandchildren, Violet and Ethan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
