Margie Coats Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margie Coats of Lithia Springs, Georgia, born in Rockmart, Georgia, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sanders and Dollie Sanders; her husband James Earl Coats; her siblings, James Sanders, Geneva Steele, Inez Steele and Cecil Sanders; and her son-in-law Wayne Ham.
She is survived by: her children, Terry C. Coats (Jill) of Dallas, GA and Brenda J. Ham of Lithia Springs, GA; her sister Imogene Nelson (James) of Dallas, GA; her sisters-in-law, Glenda Sanders of Lithia Springs, GA and Evelyn Sanders of Nitro, W. V.; her grandchildren, Will Coats (Kara) of Cumming, GA and Julie Crawford (Glenn) of Greenwood, S. C.; and her great grandchildren, Haylie Crawford, Riley Crawford and Hollyn Coats. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the state's Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends and family members of Mrs. Coats safe.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to New Canaan Baptist Church Audio – Visual Program in loving memory of Mrs. Coats.
