He is survived by: his wife Shirley Montgomery Carter of Lithia Springs; his children, Judy (Curtis Shipley), Brenda Gail Helton of Fairburn and Johnny; his daughter-in-law Andrea Carter of Douglasville; and his sister Claudie Harding of Aragon, GA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
