She was predeceased by : her parents, Emmett Middleton and Jewel Middleton (Jimmie Garrett); her daughter Jill Garrett; her grandson Andrew Cooper; her great grandchild Katie Smith; and her siblings, David, Robert Middleton and Margaret Calhoun.

She is survived by : her daughter Alesha Casey (Ledell) of Wildwood, GA; her grandchildren, Bethany Phillips (Freddy) and David Cooper; and her sisters, Betty Thomas, Esther Rowland, Helen Leach and Vera Cook. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
