He was predeceased by : his parents, Edgar Weldon Stokes and Frances Irene Harper Stokes; his wife Marlene Hutchinson Stokes; his son Mark Allen Stokes; and his brother Edward Weldon Stokes.

He is survived by : his son Victor Stevenson (Michelle); his grandchildren, Andy Stevenson (Kaitlyn) and Jerry Stevenson; his great grandchildren, Rory Stevenson and Harper Stevenson; his stepdaughters, Brooke Zuckerman (Russell) and Heather Lous (Todd); his sisters, Frances Louise Ray and Gwendolyn Stokes Woodell (Lowery); and his friend Ethel Chancey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, social distancing and face coverings will be required at all services for Mr. Stokes.
