He was predeceased by: his brother Donald James Benz; and his parents, James Benz and Gloria Benz. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Benz (Haines); his son Andrew Robert Benz; his daughter-in-law Brooke Shields Benz of Strongsville, OH; his granddaughters, Rian Elizabeth Benz and Reese Caroline Benz; and his sister-in-law Mary Jeanette Benz.
