He is survived by : his wife Darlene Slate; his daughters, Alicia Slate, Amy Broom and Angela (Lee Bryan); his brother Michael Slate; and his grandchildren, Hannah Hughes, Emily Hughes, Rebekah Broom and Ian Bryan. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
