She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Hattie Cawthon Smith and George Wesley Smith; her husband Charlie; her children, Vicki Blalock Dryden of Monroe and Joseph C. Blalock, Jr.; her grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell, Phoebe Stevens and Michele Leach; and her sister Shirley McCool. She was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
